Many Sources Saying the Same Thing
The Deepermind website introduces some helpful concepts. The first
concept is not to worry about believing in a religion, but focus on reality; the way things are.
By seeing things as they are one has a huge advantage in living a
joyous, productive life. The first principle is believing in love.
Also believing that God actually loves us, and would do nothing to
harm us. By being good, we can enjoy God's grace and fulfillment. By
starting over, we can take the best advice from all the best sources
around the world.
Starting Over
We need to be spiritually reborn and go deeper into living a full
life. We have to believe that every day will be better. We need
to know what we can do and then do it. First we have to love
ourselves, and stop putting ourselves down. We can only learn from the
past, we cannot bring it back. We should not fear the future,
but realolize our job is expect problems and if we can solve the
problem.
The reader is invited to read The Untethered Soul, (2007)
and a sequel, Living Untethered (2022) both by Michael
Singer. In these books, Singer goes beyond the human
predicament, and one's self. Here is the best of all religious,
psychological and philosophy is brought together in a very easy to
read presentation. Here we encapsulate Singer's main points and
present additional material. This website is not sanctioned by
Michael Singer and the opinions presented here are those of the
author. So we are free to take our own path into all this.
There are many great authors who have contributed to the process of
becoming a person who can be in the presence of God. John C. Robinson
speaks of the process in his book Ordinary Enlightenment
(2000)
The Study of Words
When you hear words, the speaker is making a lot of sounds that our
brains turn into meaning. The sounds or the marks on paper are like a
map. The map helps us find our way through a territory. A physical
map helps us find where we might be and where we are going. Word maps
helps us find meaning. The word maps work within us connecting
with what we already know and help us understand where we are in terms
of knowing our own meaning and also guide us to newer meanings.
This analogy comes from General Semantics which uses science
to understand how words work. Word are not things in themselves.
We have to watch the words "is" and "am" as they words build meaning
within us that may or may not be true. If we say "Bill is good"
to someone, our option of Bill is transferred to someone else. Bill
does not change in the external world, but we live in the internal
world and in this world Bill might indeed change. It is best to
try to have an accurate model of the external world within us. It not
only helps us from getting in trouble, it helps build an internal
world that is real and in turn beautiful.
