Chapter 10 Earthy Emotions.
All our emotions can be placed in two categories, those that are heavenly, and those which are those of animal. The animal emotions are earthy emotions, coming from the primitive areas of the brain. In psychology there are lists of emotions. They are sorted academically, with little regard for using the information for a better life. We can be silly, drunk, sexy, loving and so on. This method of understanding gives us no prospective on which emotions we should strive for and which will get us in trouble. The earthy emotions cause us to behave like brutes. They include:

Many of the earthy emotions spring from the body's hormones effect on the self and consciousness. The consciousness is moved into lower consciousness mood. These feelings are sent to our beliefs where primative beliefs slide into our consciousness. In conjunction with the consciousness and the self, decisions are made to act out primitive emotions by sending commands to the task area. This is the way bad things are done. Another way to look how a person can do bad things is to remember that the brain has evolved through three levels of sophistication. The first two levels of the brain, being primitive play a pivotal roll in processing earthy emotions. The top brain level is often turned off, or in some causes has not been created in full strength. When the human part of the brain is weak, the person can only act on the more primative natures. Emotions Can Be Regulated A mature person can recognize earthy emotions before they get acted out. For a brief moment a spititual person may feel a spiritual emotion, but it is stopped, and the spiritual emotions are turned on. So a person can be indigent instead of getting angry. Earthy emotions keep us from optimizing our life.
