The sixth doorway
The End Goal
The last page in the Gateway Series points toward the end goal of
Deepermind. Observation opens the door, but living completes the work.
Once we can see the inner life clearly, we can begin to live from
freedom instead of habit. The soul is no longer trapped in reaction,
distraction, or confusion. It can choose, create, love, and respond
with greater wisdom.
Life then becomes more than something to manage. It becomes a
graceful participation in reality itself. Meaning, beauty, and
practical living begin to fit together, and the moments of ordinary
life can feel touched by something deeper.
This is coherence: the senses, ego, emotions, mind, and soul
working together in a life that is both beautiful and real. It is not
something to believe because someone says it is true. It is something
to discover by living it.
Love, The Climax of the Journey
Love is the climax of the Deepermind journey because love gives
freedom its highest purpose. Freedom gives the soul room to breathe,
but love gives that freedom direction.
When my late wife, Windy, was terminally ill, I dedicated my life
to caring for her because I loved her. That devotion did not disappear
when she was gone. It remains within me, but now it turns more deeply
toward God.
To love God is to love the highest goodness, the deepest wisdom,
and the perfection that never leaves. It is not love for one person
alone, but love for the source of love itself, the presence that
includes everyone and holds all life.
This love leads naturally into service. It makes me want to take
care of things, do what is right, and bring more kindness, order, and
beauty into the world around me.
In that love, I feel again the grace I felt as a young boy
receiving communion. The heart opens, and life feels touched by
holiness.
Freedom and grace come together here. The soul is free, but it is
not empty. It is filled with love, guided by God, and able to live
with beauty, direction, service, and peace.
A Faith That Grew Up
When I was a child, I needed religion to help me know God and place
boundaries around my freedom. I needed guidance, structure,
correction, and a clear moral path. As I grew older, many of those
lessons became part of me.
The Catholic Church gave me profound teachings, but it also mixed
them with ideas that became counterproductive for my inner life. The
language of sin and hell gave the Church power over my conscience and
made it harder for me to think freely and honestly.
As an adolescent, I struggled to reconcile Church teachings with
science. I would confess my sins, receive communion, feel renewed for
a while, and then fall back into the same patterns. The cycle repeated
until it no longer felt like real spiritual growth.
The only solution, at that time, was to leave the Catholic Church.
But when I broke away, I felt a deep vacuum. The structure was gone,
and I had to spend many years discovering how to rebuild my
relationship with God from the inside.
Much later, I found a better way. I kept what was deep and
beautiful, but I updated the old framework with science, direct
observation, and a more intelligent understanding of the inner life.
Now I can believe in God and science at the same time. By studying
how I work inside, I developed a faith that is no longer based on fear
or authority alone, but on wisdom, love, experience, and the soul’s
living relationship with God.
Deepermind Fills the Vacuum with Inner Work
Deepermind is not about tearing down religion and leaving the person empty. It is about taking the deepest spiritual hunger seriously and giving it a freer, clearer, more conscious path.
The purpose is to optimize life so it becomes meaningful, fulfilling, graceful, and coherent. More precisely, Deepermind is about the optimization of SEEMS: the senses, ego, emotions, mind, and soul.
This is very different from simply being told what to believe. In Deepermind, the person learns to observe the inner system directly. The person studies life from the inside and gradually discovers what produces clarity, peace, wisdom, love, and grace.
This is freedom with responsibility. It is not freedom from all guidance. It is freedom from domination, so the soul can receive deeper guidance from God and from direct inner seeing.
Optimizing
Instead of building my life around sin, guilt, and fear, I now
think in terms of optimization. Optimization does not mean becoming
perfect. It means learning how to make the whole inner life more
loving, more coherent, and more aligned with God.
The old language of sin often made me feel trapped in a cycle of
failure and correction. Optimization gives me a better path. It asks a
simpler question: What helps the soul become clearer, freer, wiser,
and more loving?
The senses are optimized when they stop chasing constant
stimulation. They are not rejected. They are refined. Music, beauty,
nature, touch, color, food, and human presence can all become doorways
into gratitude and reverence when the soul is awake enough to receive
them without being captured by them.
The ego is optimized when it becomes humble. The ego is not evil,
but it easily grows too large. It wants to be right, praised, admired,
protected, and secure. When the ego rules, life becomes defensive and
narrow. When the ego becomes gentle, it can serve practical life
without pretending to be the center of the universe.
The emotions are optimized when their energy is lifted. Fear,
anger, jealousy, shame, and resentment can darken the inner world, but
love, gratitude, wonder, compassion, courage, joy, and reverence make
it more pure. The goal is not to become cold or numb. The goal is to
feel deeply without letting painful emotions take command of the whole
person.
The mind is optimized when it becomes both powerful and quiet. It
can think, study, solve, organize, and create, but it can also
chatter, worry, repeat, and fill the inner world with noise. A trained
mind knows when to think and when to rest. When the mind becomes
quiet, the soul has room to observe.
The soul is optimized when it becomes the guiding center of life.
If the soul is buried, the senses chase stimulation, the ego defends
itself, the emotions surge, and the mind talks endlessly. But when the
soul awakens, everything begins to find its proper place. The soul can
observe the mind, soften the ego, hold the emotions, and use the
senses to love reality instead of merely consuming it.
This is where freedom becomes sacred. Freedom is not just the
removal of outside control. It is the opening of inner space where the
soul can live wisely.
In deep meditation, the soul can feel very close to God. This is
not merely an idea. It can be felt as warmth, holiness, stillness,
love, or a living presence near the face and heart. In that closeness,
religion is no longer a prison of control. It becomes direct
relationship.
Grace with freedom is the state I was looking for. It is not
fear-based obedience, and it is not empty rebellion. It is the soul
living in open space while remaining aligned with God’s wisdom, love,
and guidance.
This freedom does not need to be careless, because love gives it
direction. It keeps asking whether the whole person is becoming more
truthful, peaceful, meaningful, and alive.
In the highest state, the inner world becomes coherent. The senses
appreciate beauty. The ego becomes humble. The emotions become
cleaner. The mind becomes quiet and clear. The soul draws near to God.
This is not a final formula or another human authority. It is a
living process of observation, correction, love, and alignment.
The life that opens from here is not perfect, but it is freer
inside its imperfections. We still work, decide, fail, repair, learn,
and grow. We still have thoughts and emotions. But we are no longer
completely owned by them.
We can step back. We can return to the soul. We can feel God near.
We can let grace move through freedom.
This is the final point of the Gateway Pages. Deepermind is not
another prison. It is a doorway into a freer, deeper, more loving, and
more meaningful life.
Total Inner Coherence
In the highest state, the inner world becomes coherent. The senses,
ego, emotions, mind, and soul are no longer pulling in different
directions. They begin to work together as one living system.
This is what happens when our deepest beliefs fit together. We are
no longer divided between fear and faith, science and spirituality,
freedom and guidance, selfhood and surrender. The mind does not have
to keep arguing with itself because the whole inner structure begins
to make sense.
This brings a great quietness. Doubt may still appear, but it no
longer rules the person. Inner conflict loses its power because the
soul has found a larger order that can hold thought, feeling, desire,
and purpose together.
The senses appreciate the beauty of the world without being
captured by it. The ego becomes humble enough to serve rather than
dominate. The emotions become cleaner and more loving. The mind
becomes clearer and quieter. The soul becomes more open to God.
The benefit of total coherence is that life feels whole. We do not
waste so much energy fighting ourselves. We can make decisions with
less confusion, love with less fear, and act with more steadiness
because our inner life is no longer split into competing voices.
This is the beautiful state of grace. It is not just a belief. It
is a way of living in which meaning, love, freedom, and responsibility
begin to support one another.
